COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus East High School Food Pantry is providing a community food distribution this Friday, October 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., for drive-up issuance of pre-bagged collections of food. There are enough meals for approximately 200 families.

In addition, Columbus Animal Services will have limited supplies of pet food available, and the Bartholomew County Public Library Book Express is giving away books.

The event is open to everyone in the community and is not limited to BCSC families. The pick-up point is door 31 in the west parking lot behind the school near the tennis courts. To ensure student safety during bus and parent pick-up, cars should not enter the lot before 4 p.m.

The East High School Food Pantry, on Marr Road in Columbus, is a Gleaners school-based food pantry.
