Mum of four Nicci knew she had to make a change when she could no longer look at herself in the mirror as it upset her so much.
Determined to change her lifestyle, Nicci jumped into The Healthy Mummy’s 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge with two feet and in 2 months has lost 9 kilos and 2 dress sizes.
Not only that, she’s feeling amazing and is beginning to like what she sees in the mirror.
Nicci Wright is 39, from the southern suburbs of Perth and has four children aged 13, 12,10 and 3. A couple of months ago, and fed up with how she looked and felt, Nicci made the decision to join the 28 Day Weight Loss Challenge.
Nicci shares, “I hardly smiled or laughed anymore so I jumped onto The Healthy Mummy and haven’t looked back. I just want to be happy and love the person that I am. So far I have lost roughly 9kgs since June.”

Whatsmore, since losing 9 kilos in 2 months, Nicci is loving the other benefits that come with the weight loss.
‘I am starting to sleep better, laugh a bit more, smile! And relax. My anxiety is slowly getting better and I have so much more energy. My skin is looking amazing due to me being hydrated all the time! I am getting fitter and my body is starting to change shape”.
Nicci has also dropped 1 or 2 dress sizes and is feeling amazing.

Breakfast– either cheesy baked beans or banana and date oats.
Lunch – I love love love the lasagne soup! So easy to make! Chuck it all in the slow cooker and leave it pretty much. I have a freezer stash of it hehe.
Dinner – Stovetop lasagne is a massive hit here. Once again simple to make and so tasty.
Snacks – I have a massive sweet tooth so my favourites are the chocolate chip cookie dough tart and the choc toffee bark!

“My favourite go to workout on the app is the dance strong workouts with Rachael Okesola. They are the bomb! Easy to follow but gets me sweating and the heart racing. My 3 year old loves to do them with me as well! So much fun.”
Nicci’s 3 tips for people just starting out
- Drink water! Plenty of it. I drink about 3 litres a day. I went from sugary soft drinks to water and can definitely see and feel the difference.
- Be kind to yourself!!! If you are having a bad food day or lazy day don’t beat yourself up, we are all human and we need them. Listen to your body!
- Lastly, do it for you. Not for anyone else.
