The Tyrone Area Food Bank has announced that their annual Thanksgiving food distribution will begin this Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, and continue, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18.
Because food bank clients are only permitted one visit per month, the vouchers for holiday meat and other items for the holiday meal will be given out beginning Nov. 4 and continue each day the food bank is open through Nov. 18, 2021.
The hours of operation for each day in November are as follows: Nov. 4, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; Nov. 11, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Vouchers for holiday meat given during the holiday distribution may be redeemed at the Tyrone Save-a-Lot from Thursday, Nov. 4 to Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.
The Tyrone Area Food Bank will then be closed until Thursday, Dec. 2, when they will resume their normal operating hours of 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The food bank board wishes all clients a safe and blessed Thanksgiving and wishes to thank all community residents, the scout troops, churches, businesses, and organizations that have helped to make this holiday distribution possible.
